Students for Cooperation has put together a new in-depth guide giving a detailed overview of the role and responsibilities of a secretary in a student co-operative – though most of the guide applies to non-student co-ops as well. It is aimed at secretaries and any other members of a co-op carrying out secretarial tasks.
The guide was written for student co-operatives incorporated as registered societies under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014. However, a lot of the guide will still be of use to unincorporated associations (eg. university societies) and co-ops that are registered under the Companies Act.
