28-30th October 2016, Venue TBC, Edinburgh
Join us for our autumn conference in arguably the finest city in the world, Edinburgh!
The weekend will include workshops, talks, training, organising, discussions, socials, visits to local co-ops, and more!
All are welcome to attend, irrespective of whether you are involved in a student co-operative or just interested in learning more. However, only delegates sent on behalf of member co-operatives can formally vote in our general meeting.
Workshops, talks, and organising
If you’d like to run a workshop, or have an idea for a workshop or talk you would like to attend, then do email us! [email protected]
Please register so we can organise accommodation, catering, and transport.
Make sure to click attending and invite your friends!
Transport, accommodation and food
As is customary, free accommodation will be provided and a travel subsidy/pool is available to those who need it. Students for Cooperation’s budget is very tight, so we ask that where possible member co-ops fund the transport of their members. It may also be worth approaching your students’ union to ask for funding. Cheap and/or free food will be available throughout the weekend.
Becoming a member co-operative
Any co-operative with a majority of members being students can become a member of Students for Cooperation. Membership is free and allows your co-operative and members to have a direct input into the work of Students for Cooperation and to benefit from the active support of Students for Cooperation. Other co-ops, students’ unions and organisations may also be eligible for affiliate membership. Get in touch for more info.
The agenda is being finalised but, needless to say, it will be awesome. The conference will begin noon Friday, and finish 1600 on Sunday.
